Law Enforcement Memorial Service
Honoring "Our Fallen Heroes"

In recognition of National Police Week the Dothan Police Department Ceremony was well attended with Mayor Pat Thomas, Houston County District Attorney Doug Valeska, Houston County Commissioner Bobby Snellgrove and special speaker U.S. Attorney Middle District of Alabama Leura G. Canary all participating. The National Anthem was sung by our own Corporal John Crawford and TAPS played by Sgt. Benny Baxley. "APOSTLE"'s rendition of "Amazing Grace" was played followed by a 21 Gun Salute by the DPD Honor Guard.

The City raised a total of $12,887.09 this year! Thank you to everybody that helped support the March of Dimes by buying raffle tickets, attending the events that were held, hosting events and by simply making a donation. The March for Babies Walk will be this Saturday, April 25th at the Dothan campus of Troy University. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the walk will start at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided after the walk and there will be all kinds of activity booths set up.
