What is National Night Out?

The Dothan Police Department joined forces with other local law enforcement agencies, Dothan  Fire Department, United States Military, Child Advocacy Center, Target, Leisure Services, and various other organizations to promote crime and drug prevention throughout the City of Dothan/ Houston County for the 26th Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at the Dothan Civic Center Arena. The National Night Out campaign involves citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, and local officials from over 10,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canada cities, and military bases worldwide bringing neighbors together to take a stand against drugs and crime.
