Community Services
The City of Dothan Police Department realizes the importance of Community Policing. This concept involves not only an active police presence, but community involvement to enhance the overall relationship between citizens and their police department.
We are proud of our efforts and successes with such programs as our classroom / ride-along Citizen Observer Program, Child Fingerprinting and Car Seat Clinics, and all of the fundraising activities that we and the community host for Special Olympics. Other programs include Quarterly Community Meetings, National Night Out, CrimeStoppers, Juvenile CrimeStoppers, School Resource Officer Program and the S.O.A.P. Program.
It is our belief that by working together we can provide safer neighborhoods, improve citizen awareness, and enjoy the best quality of life that our beautiful city has to offer!
